I am a romantic lover of stories and poetry that reveal the heart of all of us especially those who may endure much in their lives. Having experience with schizophrenia and mental illness and trauma in my life, I try to open up my heart to show how God has been with me and how relationships and experiences and humanity bring out the romantic, emotional, and child-like heart of all of us. Struggling with mental health has taught me to find humor in life even in dark places, and to try to show that morality and virtue don’t have to be about right and wrong, but about human love and emotions and life that guide us toward a romantic and loving God who desires truth in the inward parts. I am a descendent of king David through my mother’s side, and I find that having a heart like God’s heart with poetry and stories and songs that open up our humanity to love and heroes and truth while still worshipping a just God than I have done my part for humanity.
